  • Online Shopping



    • 1. How to Shop on the Website?

      • Step 1 - Select your Device, e.g. Nokia N95.
      • Step 2 - Select your Skin, e.g. Flowers, or select “Photo Uploader” to make a skin out of your own photo or design.
      • Step 3 - Click “Add to Shopping Cart”.
      • Step 4 - You are now sent to the Shopping Cart. Either continue Shopping, or Check Out.
      • Step 5 - To be able to Check Out you need to have your own MySkins Account. Click on “Log In / Register” if you are not already logged in.
      • Step 6 - If you already have an account, enter your username and password now, or click on “Register” to create your free account.
      • Step 7 - After logging in or registering, click “Check Out”.
      • Step 8 - Add your shipping/delivery address.
      • Step 9 - You will now be taken to the Confirmation Page, where a summary of your order is displayed. Please read and this carefully.
      • Step 10 - Select your payment method (EFT or Credit Card) and click “Confirm” to place your order.
      • Step 11 - If you selected to pay with Credit Card, enter your Credit Card details now.
      • Step 12 - Your order is now placed. Production will start as soon as payment has cleared, and your skin(s) will be shipped within 7 days.


    • 2. How to Claim a Voucher on the Website?

      • Step 1 - Select your Device, e.g. Nokia N95.
      • Step 2 - Select your Skin, e.g. Flowers, or select “Photo Uploader” to make a skin out of your own photo or design.
      • Step 3 - Click “Add to Shopping Cart”.
      • Step 4 - You are now redirected to the Shopping Cart. Input your Pin Code and Password to claim your Voucher.
      • Step 5 - To be able to Check Out you need to have your own MySkins Account. Click on “Log In / Register” if you are not already logged in.
      • Step 6 - If you already have an account, enter your username and password now, or click on “Register” to create your free account.
      • Step 7 - After logging in or registering, click “Check Out”.
      • Step 8 - Add your shipping/delivery address.
      • Step 9 - You will now be taken to the Confirmation Page, where a summary of your order is displayed. Please read and this carefully.
      • Step 10 - After reading through the Order Summary carefully, click “Confirm” to place your order.
      • Step 11 - Your order is placed. Production will start immediately, and your skin(s) will be shipped within 7 days.


    • 3. How to order a Photo Uploader on the Website?

      • Step 1 - Select your Device, e.g. Nokia N95.
      • Step 2 - Select Photo Uploader in the categories list on the left, and then click on the “Photo Uploader” icon.
      • Step 3 - Click “Add to Shopping Cart”.
      • Step 4 - You are now sent to the Shopping Cart. Click “Check Out” after logging in or registering.
      • Step 5 - Add your Shipping Details, select your Payment Method, and Check Out.
      • Step 6 - You will receive an email with your tax receipt, and also receive an email with instructions for how to send your picture to our design team.
      • Step 7 - When we receive your photo, one of our talented designers will custom fit it onto the device in question to ensure no heads are cut off, important details are missing, etc.
      • Step 8 - We will then send you another email with a picture of how the skin will look. You can either accept this, or request us to make any changes. You can even have us add custom text, like your name, onto the skin.
      • Step 9 - After you approve the layout, your skin will enter manufacturing and will be shipped within 7 days.


    • 4. What if my password got lost?

      a. If this happened, you can go to the Password Reminder page to have your password emailed to the address you used when you registered. You can access the page here.

    • 5. What is your contact details, including a telephone number?

      We currently work with all major manufacturers, either directly or indirectly, and all of them aa. You can find our contact details on the ”Contact” page. You can also call us on +27 – 011 – 466 2355.


    Skins



    • 1. Are Skins easy to install?

      Our main requirement when developing the Skins was that they had to be so easy that virtually anyone could do it. Because of the recent developments in 3M material, combined with that each Skin is custom cut to fit exactly onto your device, we feel that have achieved this.

    • 2. What about if I want to take it off / change it?

      No problem. The Skin should come off in one piece and without leaving any residue behind. You can easily apply a new Skin after lightly wiping the device with a dry cloth.

    • 3. How do I apply my new MySkin?

      Installation of a new Skin is as follows:
      • Lightly wipe the device with a cloth to remove any dirt or dust. If you have previously put on any other stickers, remove them now and make sure you remove all residue or glue.
      • Lift off all parts of the Skin that you will not be using, such as the parts that would cover the screen, any logos or buttons. These are already pre-cut so it’s just a matter of gently lifting them off.
      • Lift the actual Skin off the backing paper and gently align it onto the device. Use any buttons, hinges, the display, and any other features to help with aligment.
      • When the Skin is aligned, gently press down, starting from the middle of the skin and push outwards, to attach the Skin onto the device.
      • If any bubbles appear while installing, gently press down in the centre of the bubble and the air should disperse through the invisible airchannels.
      • If any large bubbles appear, that does not want to disappear when pressed down on, please gently peel the skin back to the problem area and reapply.


    • 4. What happends to my devices warranty?

      We currently work with all major manufacturers, either directly or indirectly, and all of them are either selling, endorsing or approving the Skins themselves. As a rule of thumb, as long as you do not open up a device or use tools on it, your warranty will not be voided. Applying a Skin does neither.

    • 5. When are you going to be adding more Skins onto the site?

      a. We aim to add new Skins and Devices all the time, and these will be available for online purchase as soon as they are added. We draw designs both through our existing channels, our in-house designers, other brands (such as Fashion TV) and talented outside artists that want to sell their designs through our exciting new medium of expression!


    Devices



    • 1. What devices do you support?

      We support a multitude of devices, including Laptops, Gaming Consoles such as Xbox and Playstation, iPods, Satellite TV Decoders, Desktop computers, Mobile Phones, etc. Manufacturers include Apple, HP, Dell, IBM, Lenovo, Fujitsu Siemens, Sony, Microsoft, Multichoice, Sahara, and more every week. For a complete listing, click on the desired category under ”Devices” on the left hand side.

    • 2. What if my device is not supported yet?

      Let us know, and we will try our hardest to add it as soon as possible so you can get your Skin too. Click on ”Voting Booth” on the bottom left and type in the device you have, along with your email address if you want us to let you know as soon as it’s sorted.

    • 3. When do you add more devices to the website?

      We aim to add new Skins and Devices all the time, and these will be available for online purchase as soon as they are added. Manufacturers often send us their new devices that they think Skins might be popular for before the devices even hit the stores.

    • 4. What happends to my devices warranty?

    Payments



    • 1. How do I pay for my Skin?

      We currently offer payment both through EFT (Internet Banking) and Credit Cards. We support most of the large Credit Cards, such as VISA and Mastercard. If you pay by EFT, your order will enter manufacturing as soon as payment has been received.

    • 2. How do I pay if I don’t have a Credit Card?

      There are two ways: Either buy a Voucher in any of our partner’s stores (such as Virgin Mobile or Musica), or you can pay via EFT (Internet Banking). If paying by EFT, you will receive a reference number after you place your order. Use this to put through your payment, and it will be picked up automatically on our side.

    • 3. Do you have a Return Policy?

      All Skins are made to the strictest specifications to ensure you will receive a Skin that is perfect and fits your device snugly. Skins are custom made for you, with your selected design (or photo) and for exactly your device. For this reason, we cannot exchange Skins. However, if there is a flaw in the Skin that we did not pick up during our thorough Quality Inspection, we will of couse replace it with a new Skin.


    Delivery



    • 1. How long does it take to get my Skin?

      All orders are shipped within 7 days of payment, and they are shipped through the South African Post Office using Registered Mail. This form of mail is both insured and trackable. You will receive a tracking number to use for online tracking on the SAPO Website.

    • 2. How much does delivery cost?

      Delivery is included FREE of charge, due to our very good agreement with the SA Post Office.

    • 3. Do you deliver outside South Africa?

      Yes we do. Please give us a call (+27-11-4662355) or email us (info@myskins.co.za) to get more information, and get a price on shipping. We can either ship via Registered Mail or UPS Express (your choice).
